Video Game Marketing Needs to Change
I hate multiverses.
I am so shocked that The Game Awards (and it's predecessors) have been sexist this whole time! So shocked! /s
The solutions is pay for our art. We want art but we dont want to pay for it. Streaming allows us to get our art for cheap and then we cry when it gets worse
What is the solution? Same as back in the 30s to 40s, government regulations
man times used to be so much simpler. also my dad was one of those bad mf'ers who agreed the ps3/blu ray made sense at the time. hell yah dad.
Enforce anti-trust laws.
Nobody wanna talk about how that Pizza Hut pizza costed $10 all the way back then???
I would so watch the full extended cut of Lord of the Rings with Ricky from high school.
Eddie you need to do a whole video on William Castle. And watch Matinee (1993 John Goodman) which is loosely based on him.
it was for some too much from too many companies, if it were just the one, it could be tolerable, but people are can't eat just one so they get full up and can't finish a meal from one company and complain about their own induced tummy aches. classic consumer over consumption or lack of self control
Anyone else always feel too guilty deleting the previous NintendPets when getting a secondhand DS game so you just... Adopted and took care of the ones already there?
Fuck the big three . It’s just big me
Imagine wanting to watch Dune...
I tried to find out if that Pizza Hut Santa guy was Jim Parsons. All searches point to no, but they also point to 'No one has ever searched this'. That being said, it did strikingly resemble Mr. Parsons.
Interestingly I watch more movies with friends now because of VR. Getting together with friends to watch a movie is now a 5 minute process since I don't have to drive across town and spend $15 or wait for the $5 Tuesdays.
Come on Pong>!
This is a hot take, but Martin Scorsese movies aren’t that good…people just like to say they enjoy them so they seem like “film buffs”
Ive been searching for years to find thr name of this game, this was my CHILDHOOD!! thank you for your service😭
It’s upsetting that streaming culture has even affected something as simple as screen sharing and projection. I used to do screen sharing movie nights all the time with my friends. There was one night my streaming partner wanted to watch a movie with me (he lived 4 hours away). I had the most streaming services thanks to sharing with my dad so I tried to screen share via Discord. But DRM kicked in and all it was broadcasting was the sound - the screen was black. Thankfully it was also available on Netflix so I switched to my browser and it worked fine. But it really made me sad about how much media viewers are at a huge disadvantage right now whenever they want to recommend titles because there’s the added stress of figuring out which platform it’s on. That’s why I keep all of my media physical.
i remember seeing the thanos after credits scene in theaters. everyone lost their minds and erupted into cheers. it was beautiful.
Why do people hate good looking women?
getting a pokemon go ad directly before this video was the cherry on top
burback brothers please i need your help
Honestly, if you are talking trash about the subscription plan and your sponsor is a subscription plan, it's a tiny bitty hypocritical, right? 👀
Also, aside from what you mentioned, the sheer amount of it and the way media works nowadays means its probably less likely for a film to gain any sort of traction outside the very moment its released. like, the idea of "sleeper hits" or "cult classics" that didn't get much recognition when they were first released. but instead build it up over weeks over even years. That kind of scenario seems to rarely ever occur nowadays.
"no more waiting to watch it cropped down from its original format [...]" Doesn't that depend on what "cropped down" means? Since, as far as I know, widescreen vhs initially weren't that widespread. Instead pan-and-scan 4:3 versions were.
I'm going to start a streaming company that will provide multiple streaming services under one price, perhaps I'll call it cable lol
That Billy Jack fight scene at 10:28 was filmed in my hometown lol
16:15 was this rainforest, margaritaville, or the sphere?
If the Mandalorian was about story telling then it would have ended after season 2. That was the perfect ending it was building towards. Baby Yoda goes off to train with Luke Skywalker But of course it’s not about that it’s about business so we got a season 3 that had some good parts but also some not so good parts and I imaging that’s only going to get worse in season 4 as they continue to try and stretch it out for business And that only leaves the series as a whole seeming shallow
Streaming services are killing the movie industry, I have all these streaming services and still the only movies worth watching are the ones from 10-20 years ago
The movie store era was so magical. Movies were a family gathering and it was so exciting to go look at all the crazy covers on the movies and decide what was going to be the adventure for the weekend. I have to drag my siblings to watch a movie 🍿 they don't understand
God pokemon go made ppl get out of their house and find dead bodies for the cops. We owe pokemon everything
Aw damn I only just found this channel and you turn out to be a pair of sooky crybaby soyboys.
Way way back in the day, and you haven't mentioned, when video rental started, it was a membership fee of $100.-$200 a year to rent movies and you were allowed to rent 1 or 2 movies only. Then it did change to you had to have 2 sets of ID, as in a driver's license and a Master credit card. Then time passed again and a Master credit card was changed to another ID like a cable bill or electric bill. Something like that.
3:43 there’s something so special about THAT console that has just ALWAYS been there and still works despite it being heavily used by child you(mine is my gamecube 💕💕)
I do feel like you missed the iTunes era, but fun video!
capitalism destroys every positive innovation or art form by trying to make it endlessly more profitable and i’m soo sick of it 🫤
Woke
@@Csff1311 okay?? and?
I found myself looking for certain movies to watch on streaming sites. Only to remember I physically owned copies of these movies on DVD.
I was in middle school when it came out so my parents loved that it got me outside. But after all the reports i wasnt allowed to go without my mom, she also played
To all people who have a problem paying for what they watch, how are people in the film business supposed to pay for what they make if they don't? You do realize most independent film producers barely make rent right? That your idea of a greedy fat cat producer is a fiction that never really existed much and now doesn't at all?
I'm upset I never knew Burback did a KH video. This absolute mess of a franchise has been my favorite video game series since I played KH1 as a child, with KH2 as my favorite video game period, so I'm looking forward to watching this.
Consume your content peasants
burback? more like bareback amirite
so the decision I made to never watch any of the game awards....was good?
Dude sounds like James from donut media
Omg this gave me so much guilt for my neopets
9:17 um, kind sir, I prefer bottom🥺🥺👉👈
I definitely under appreciated the wii growing up, got it in 2009 for Christmas with the siblings but was so upset cause i wanted the 360 to play COD
You can tell the newer Zelda game had a lot of these game mechanics and was inspired
